BEISTEGUI HERMANOS 1914 The Beistegui
brothers started their partnership in 1910 producing 7.65 pistols and 8
mm revolvers for the French during WWI. When the war ended in 1918
they joined with other Eibar gun makers in making small 6.35 and 7.65 mm
pistols.
Beistegui Brothers not only made guns but
marketed them made by others. One of the lines Beistegui is given
credit for is the Royal ,but this name was the trade mark of M Zulica circa
1909 so Beistegui most likely bought it from him. Beistegui is also
given credit for the Paramount but this gun is a 6.35 The Royal
M31 and the Super Royal M34 sold to China post war.
This gun is marked 7.65 1914 AUTOMATIC PISTOL,
Beistegui Hermanos-EIBAR and has the BH code.

BRONCO Tradename of Echave y Arizmendi,
Eibar, Spain. The firm Echave y Arizmendi was Jose Echave y CIA in
1914, and was a workshop occupying 4 workmen in 1916. This workshop
appears in the Eibar registers in 1917 and reappears in 1918 as , Echave
y Arizmendi, with a workshop occupying between 10 and 20 workmen.
Echave y Arizmendi filed the Spanish patent number 66130 on January 7,
1918. This gun also comes in a 6.35mm version. Echave was allowed
to return to his work after the civil war making bicycles and was allowed
to make several pistols in the 50's but they are less well known than the
big three. Basque, Echasa, and Fast are among their works as well
as the BZ which was made for a French company.
