LE BASQUE Trade name of Eulogio
Arostegui, Eibar. Eulogio manufactured the first selective fire gun
that resembled the Mauser Broom Handle under the name Royal and Super Azul
a full year before Mauser made one in selective fire. They used a small
dragon motif on the grips which may have also been used on the Le Dragon.
The rear sight on this gun is machined right into the slide and is non
adjustable. Tomas de Urrizar is said to have sold a gun by this name
also. The peculiar circle found on the grips is also found on grips from
the Longines.
This is the same gun but has no markings
except for the serial number on the right side of the tang and it has what
appears to be French Unique grips that don't fit exactly right, but they
are not French grips . This was another ploy to sell their guns.
