Action # 2 by Modesto Santos of Eibar, Spain
A company within France purchased guns from
the firm of Modesto Santos, to sell to the French Government, and had their
name put on it, Les Ouvriers Reunis. The gun also bore the Trade
name of Action and Action No.2 which belonged to Santos. This is
a medium size frame with a magazine capacity of 7 shots. While
this gun has a tang safety the field stripping procedure is the same as
with center safety models.

During the war years France gave some of
the "Rubys", about 5000, among other arms, to Serbia and in about
1933 the Yugoslavian government reworked them replacing the Legend with
their own in Cyrillic. The legend on the 9 shot will be PISTOL cal. 7.65mm
- 9 B.T.3 1933. It is reported that Yugoslavia again
received guns in 1931 but I only have one reference to that. This
may be confusion with the fact that they rebuilt the ones they had.
